Homewood trustees welcomed three new full-time employees to the village at the board meeting Tuesday. In other business, the board approved a new sexual harassment policy, new stop signs at a residential intersection and a special use permit for a child care center.

Two local families continued their tradition of service to the Homewood Fire Department as they marked promotions for firefighters at the Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday. In all, four firefighters and two public works employees took oaths of office at the meeting.

Homewood trustees honor Dave Lotz for 33 years in public works
Dave Lotz is moving on after 33 years as a mechanic for the village of Homewood. The village board honored Lotz at its June 27 meeting with a proclamation. His retirement was official June 30.
