Beans & Greens to close after a year in downtown Homewood
Beans & Greens will be closing soon. The board of the South Suburban Food Co-op, which operates the store at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood, announced Oct. 15 that the store did not have the level of support from the community necessary to meet expenses.

South Suburban Food Co-op to host annual meeting Tuesday
The South Suburban Food Co-op will hold its annual meeting from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 18850 Riegel Road, Homewood. Organizers suggest using the side entrance on Idlewild Lane. The co-op recently moved its health food store to downtown Homewood.
