Joe DeCicco, a six-year Homewood-Flossmoor Park District employee, has switched departments, taking on the assistant manager’s position at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club. DeCicco is working alongside manager Eileen Rohrer.

The Midwest Rail Rangers is inviting travelers interested in a trip through Illinois on an historic 1950s observation car to make a reservation by April 30 for this special trip. The trip will be June 8 out of Chicago for a ride down to Carbondale and back.
Flossmoor police call H-F active shooter drill a success
With the assistance of Homewood officers, the Flossmoor Police Department hosted an active shooter drill at the H-F High School campus. Survey lists nearly 2,000 trees in H-F parks
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District inventoried 1,893 trees in 2018 when it undertook a study of the tree population at 31 of its parks and properties. Police, rail crews investigate reports of debris striking vehicles at Dixie Viaduct
Homewood and railroad officials took a look at the condition of the Dixie Highway viaduct last week after Homewood police received two reports of falling debris striking vehicles. H-F Group Interpretation ensemble wins second place in state
Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s Group Interpretation ensemble won second place in state competition. It was the third year in a row H-F has placed. In 2018, H-F won the event and placed third in 2017.
