Meet the District 233 Board of Education candidates

On April 6, 2021, Homewood-Flossmoor School District 233 voters will select Board of Education members. The Chronicle, in partnership with Bionic Content and with support from local sponsors, interviewed five of the seven candidates (one candidate was unavailable and one could not be contacted). Candidates shared their views on the relationship between the board and district administration, about transparency and about what they see as the biggest challenges the district faces.

Meet the Flossmoor mayor candidates

On April 6, 2021, Flossmoor voters will choose a new mayor. The Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle, in partnership with Bionic Content, asked candidates Dr. Lakshmi Emory and Michelle Nelson to introduce themselves to the community and provide their visions for Flossmoor.

  • Nanny Nikki holiday music program at Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., at 11 a.m.
  • You Matter 2 Winter Wonderland from noon to 4 p.m. at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road. Holiday fun and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Tickets are $5 to $10 at bit.ly/3VLh2m4.
  • Miracle on Martin in downtown Homewood, 3 to 6 p.m. Ice sculpture walk, horse-drawn carriage rides, s’mores and more.
