The Homewood Farmers Market on Wednesdays will continue through Aug. 29. The market is on Martin Avenue at Chestnut Road. It runs from 4 to 9 p.m.
Vice District Brewing grand opening event is Aug. 31
Vice District Brewing will host the grand opening on Friday, Aug. 31, at its new location at 18027-18029 Dixie Highway in Homewood. The craft brewery is selling tickets for two-hour portions of the opening for $25. Vice will donate 25 percent of the proceeds to local nonprofit organizations.
