Anthony Mootry, a sophomore at Southern Illinois University, won a $1,500 scholarship as one of five presenters offering opinions on civil discourse in media. The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District approved a contract for roof work at Irons Oaks Learning Center, 20000 Western Avenue in Olympia Fields.
