Homewood patrol car stolen, recovered in Chicago Heights

A Homewood Police patrol vehicle was stolen and recovered in Chicago Heights early this week, according to Homewood Police Department.

At about 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, Homewood police officers responded to an unrelated call in the 2000 block of Ridge Road.

Officers left a patrol car unattended, and police said it was then stolen by 40-year-old Karl Williams of Cicero, Ill.

With assistance from multiple other agencies, Homewood police found Williams with the vehicle in Chicago Heights. He was taken into custody without incident, police said.
