Breast cancer patients receive gift bags

Breast cancer patients at Advocate South Suburban Hospital were guests at a breakfast and received a bag of special products selected for them by the PinkWellChick Foundation.

Dr. Roseann Krinski, cancer survivorship team leader and surgeon at the hospital, was there to encourage the dozen patients at the Feb. 24 event. Joining her was Michele Richardson, chair-elect of the Advocate Aurora board of directors.

Since 2015, PinkWellChick Foundation has distributed more than 2,000 comfort and care bags to women in underserved communities across the country. The bag includes a pillow for incision comfort, a blanket, socks, an adult coloring book, a lavender sachet, ginger candies, lotion and other treats.
