Marian Catholic High open house is Nov. 24

Marian Catholic High School will hold an Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, at the school, 700 Ashland Ave., Chicago Heights.
 
The event is especially intended for prospective seventh and eighth grade students and parents who are considering choosing Marian Catholic for their children’s education.
 
Administrators, faculty, staff and students will be on hand to provide information about Marian Catholic’s college preparatory curriculum including 23 AP and 26 honors courses, award winning fine arts and athletic programs, and over 40 clubs and activities. 
 
Students and faculty will lead guided tours including visits to the Sister M. Paul McCaughey, OP Leadership Center, engineering lab, broadcast studio, Croarkin Theater, chapel and Benish College Resource Center. 
 
“Open house is always a special day for us here at Marian Catholic,” said Tony DeCarlo, co-director of admissions. “It’s an honor to be able to showcase our beautiful school and facilities.” 
 
Marian Catholic is accredited by AdvancED and the Illinois State Board of Education. Members of the class of 2019 earned $23 million dollars in scholarships. They currently attend 98 colleges in 25 states and the District of Columbia, including Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Notre Dame, Georgetown University, Northwestern and Boston College.
