The Homewood Village Board approved a $176,917 contract at the July 14 meeting for a series of pedestrian safety improvements at several downtown intersections to make crosswalks more visible and accessible.
The contract was awarded to Iroquois Paving Corporation of Watseka, the lowest bidder among seven companies that submitted proposals for the project, Homewood Assistant Village Manager Terence Acquah said.
