Homewood police responded to a report of a woman hanging from a tree shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday, July 11.
Officers found a deceased woman in the 18300 block of Martin Avenue. Police said the initial investigation indicated it was likely that no foul play was involved.
The identity of the woman has not been confirmed pending fingerprint analysis. The Illinois State Police crime lab was called to process the scene, police said.
