The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, to officially open the new play area at Irwin Park on Ridge Road, just off of downtown Homewood.
For the celebration, the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile will be on site, and staff will be giving free ice cream treats while supplies last.
