Summer Fest, a fundraiser for the Homewood Science Center, is planned for July 23 at Idlewild Country Club in Flossmoor.
The program, from 6 to 10 p.m., gives guests a chance to meet and enjoy the music of DJ QMac while tasting foods at the summer favorites food stations. Take time to learn about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills for kids and adults. A raffle and silent auction are part of the program.
Summer Fest is the largest fundraiser for the Homewood Science Center, now marking its 10th anniversary. Tickets are $60 when purchased before July 4, or $75 afterward. Ticket information is at www.homewoodsciencecenter.org.
HSC gives children, their families and the community at-large opportunities to be inspired through scientific wonder and learning. HSC offers planned programs for kids of all ages, including summer camps, and has open hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for STEM Saturdays when all are welcome to enjoy the Maker Station for creative play, the learning experiences through hands-on exhibits and HSC’s Imagination Playground.
