You Matter 2 is inviting the community to step inside its work at Walk Through Our Mission, an immersive fundraising experience taking place from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, May 22, at Flossmoor Community Church.

This is not a traditional gala.

Instead, guests will walk through interactive, youth-led stations that bring You Matter 2’s programs to life — offering a firsthand look at how young people are supported through leadership development, enrichment, mental wellness, and college and career readiness.

The event will be hosted at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor.

“This event is designed for people to truly experience the impact — not just hear about it,” said Destiny Watson, Founder and CEO of You Matter 2. “We want every guest to leave understanding what’s possible when young people are given the right support and opportunities.”

The evening will conclude with a Spotlight Program featuring powerful student and alumni stories, scholarship presentations, and a live auction. Guests will also be invited to participate in a collective giving moment to support You Matter 2’s programs and expand opportunities for youth.

Attendees will also be among the first to experience what’s next for You Matter 2, including a major upcoming investment in expanding STEM education and hands-on learning opportunities for youth in the South Suburban community.
