H-F students present ‘Lost Girl’ Feb. 19, 20 and 21

The Homewood-Flossmoor High School Theatre Program presents “Lost Girl,” a story of coming-of-age exploration of first love and lasting loss.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Feb. 19 and 20, and 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the high school, 999 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor. 

Tickets are $6 from students and senior citizens; $11 for adults and are available at gofan.co/app/school/IL15520. This show is recommended for guests aged 13 and older.

The play reimagines Wendy Darling, big sister of the family in the Peter Pan story. After she returns from Neverland, the story focusing on Wendy’s struggle with first love, loss and growing up as she tries to find Peter Pan to reclaim a kiss and move on with her life. Nostalgia and growth are the driving forces behind the play.

Cast members are Zoe Barnas, Joshua Cox, Samuel Day, Adelai Easter, Addison Graham, Brielle Haines, Michael Henderson, Amelia Jenkins, Ash Komorowski, Alex Marlo, AJ Miller, Abigail O’Quin, Natalie Popelka, Macia Turton, and Darby Van Vliet.

Members of the Student Leadership Team are Caleb Hughes, production manager; Sawyer Horcher, associate director/movement coordinator; Noah Allen, associate director/dramaturg; Megan Jones, company manager; Nalina Gallivan, production assistant.

Working with the students are teacher J.R. Willard-Rose, director; Tim Tholl, scenic and lighting design/technical director; department lead Candi Helsel-Wilk, costume designer; teacher Amie Day, properties designer; Jane Nix, scenic painter; Marlene Slaughter, intimacy director.
