Two drivers were treated by Homewood paramedics Friday, Dec. 19, after a two-car crash at the intersection of 183rd Street and Dixie Highway, according to Homewood police.

One driver was treated at the scene, and one was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The crash occurred about 3:45 p.m. as a gray Lexis was turning from eastbound 183rd Street onto northbound Dixie Highway. A westbound gray Chevrolet Malibu struck the Lexus. Both vehicles were inoperable as a result of the collision and were towed from the scene.
