Volunteers are holding a food drive from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, at St. John Neumann Parish parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood, to support the efforts of the Catholic Charities Food Drive.
Between 150 and 200 families in need visit the pantry each week.
The pantry appreciates the donations, and especially needs canned peaches, pineapple, mandarin oranges; canned peas (please, no green beans); tuna, salmon, chicken and spam; cereals; canned ravioli or chili; soups – especially chicken noodle, cream of chicken or mushroom, and hearty soups, like Progresso.
Donations as checks made out to Catholic Charities are welcome. Please write St. Irenaeus Pantry in the memo line.
