Homewood Stories invites the community to its May 21 show featuring five storytellers.
Sharing true, first-person stories will be:
- Nick Narcisi, a former Homewood resident and Homewood-Flossmoor High graduate who now works in cancer research and spends time as an actor and storyteller. He is a Moth Radio StorySlam winner.
- John Hahm is a native Hawaiian, a Northwestern University graduate and former prep school teacher.
- Mike Speller loves to travel and reports to visiting 49 of 50 states. He has been featured in local and national storytelling fesitvals.
- Maureen Mader, owner of Dunning’s Market in Flossmoor, who went from a profession as a registered nurse to a butcher and business owner.
- Karen O’Donnell, producer and host, is a dentist by profession.
The show will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Community House at Flossmoor Community Church, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. Guests can arrive around 6:30 p.m. and can bring in their own beverages, food or snacks.
