Kids took a magical trip to the farm through a summer program presented by “Miss Jamie from the Farm” at Patriots Park on July 10.
Hers is one of several special presentations hosted by the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District this summer. About 50 children, surrounded by adults, enjoyed the show under the pavilion that included lots of things to do — be a bug, bark like a dog, sing songs and clap their hands. They learned how to say “Howdy” and pretended to dig in the soil.
Miss Jamie reminded the kids that great foods, like tomatoes, fruits and veggies, come from the farm.
After their busy time on the farm, Miss Jamie sang them three lullabies.
