David Mayer resigned from the Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233 school board Wednesday. He had served for 11 years.
Mayer declined to say if his decision to step off the board was a result of the board’s action Tuesday, June 21, to buy out the contract of H-F Principal Ryan Pitcock. The board conducted a special meeting to end Pitcock’s contract, which ran through June 2017.
