The sun did its part, providing a bright, warm day in which to remember the fallen. Homewood area residents responded by lining the streets, waving flags and cheering for the veterans, school marching bands, Scouts and local officials who marched along Dixie Highway to Veterans Park for the Memorial Day ceremony.
