Parker Junior High School officials Wednesday quickly responded to rumors about potential violence at the school before determining that the alleged threat was unfounded.
In an email to parents Wednesday morning, Parker Principal David Kennedy said Flossmoor police and School District 161 administrators investigated the allegations before deciding it was safe to resume normal activities at the school.
“The administration wants parents to be aware of the facts surrounding this rumor,” Kennedy said.
