  mural at HPL.

Katharine Purvis is the first artist selected to create a temporary art installation at Homewood Public Library. The piece she created recently is a mural that decorates windows over the entrance and along the side window panels.

Her work features books, book titles and the slogan “Explore the World One Idea at a Time.” She finished the mural March 12.

HPL Director Amy Crump said the library hopes to host more projects by local artists in the future.
