Homewood police were asking residents to avoid unnecessary travel Monday afternoon, July 27, after a strong storm, that hit shortly after noon, downed trees that blocked a number of streets.
Ridge Road at Center Avenue was closed for some time because of a downed power line. Two trees in front of the former E-Com dispatch center at the intersection were toppled by the storm’s high winds.
