A home in the 1600 block of Evergreen Road was damaged by fire Saturday morning, March 28, but residents weren’t home at the time and no one was injured, according to Homewood Fire Chief Bob Grabowski.
The home suffered heavy damage to a four-seasons room and kitchen, he said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Crews were on the scene for about an hour. Homewood firefighters were assisted by Flossmoor, Hazelcrest, Country Club Hills and Glenwood fire departments.
