Soup’s on for Equity, a fundraiser for the Center for Food Equity in Medicine, will take place from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the Community House of FCC, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor.
The Center for Food Equity in Medicine, founded by Ann Jackson, is committed to raising awareness and meeting the nutritional needs for people living with chronic health conditions. The center will receive 100% of the profits from this program.
Chicagoland chefs are donating their time to prepare their favorite soups for guests to sample. If you enjoy a soup, you’ll have an opportunity to purchase a quart to take home to enjoy later.
Tickets are $35. Children 7 years old and younger are free. Information is at www.foodequityinmedicine.org.
