Public invited to hear candidates for U.S. Senate, Congress at Feb. 21 forum

Meet and hear from the candidates for U.S. Senate and the 2nd Congressional District seat at a forum from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, hosted by the League of Women Voters and the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce.

The program will be at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Building M, in Palos Hills.

In the March 17 primary election, voters will decide which of the candidates will be their party’s nominee for the November 2026 general election.

Illinois’ U.S. Senate seat is open due to Sen. Dick Durbin’s retirement. The 2nd Congressional District seat, now held by Rep. Robin Kelly, D-Ill., is open because Kelly is now a candidate for U.S. Senate hoping to replace Durbin.

There will be two forums. Both forums include moderated questions designed to encourage respectful, informative discussion on issues that matter most to the community.

Additional information is at chicagosouthlandchamber.com.
