Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., invites teens to visit The Attic from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. to make earrings, sew a squishy or create something completely new in the Makerspace. There will be a focused activity for anyone looking for a little inspiration, but you can come up with your own project, too. Register here.
Stitches and Shenanigans. Bring your fiber arts projects to the meeting room in Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway from 6 to 8 p.m.
Homewood Stories. The monthly storytelling show will feature five storytellers at Flossmoor Community Church Community House, 847 Hutchison Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m. Guests are invited to bring their own treats and drinks. Admission is $15 (in cash) at the door.
Open Mic. Robin’s Nest Music at 585 North Williams St. in Thornton will host beginners and pros alike for a family-friendly open mic night from 8 to 10 p.m.
