Notices
Flossmoor Public Works Flushing Advice. The village reported late in December that there had been an increase in clogged pumps at sanitary sewer lift stations and sewer pipes due to foreign materials being flushed down toilets or poured into drains. These pumps and pipes are designed to handle only water, human waste and toilet paper. When pumps become clogged, sewer backups can occur, which may allow wastewater to enter your property and create costly cleanup and repair needs. Damage to village infrastructure also increases maintenance costs, which may lead to higher sewer fees over time. Questions? Please contact Public Works at 708-957-4100.
