Junior Varsity Tennis. Wednesdays at 4 p.m. through Dec. 17 at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club, 2920 W. 183rd St. in Homewood, the H-F Park District will offer tennis sessions to kids aged 11 to 14. Junior Varsity is played on a 60-foot court with reduced speed green dot tennis balls, so students can master longer rallies and proper ball control. Players learn how to properly position themselves to execute groundstrokes and volleys, hit with purpose, serve and ultimately sustain a rally of varying speed and duration.
