Chicago Southland Green Drinks topic for the Oct. 15 meeting is sustainable approaches for transforming your home landscape.

The session, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Soundgrowler Brewery, 8201 183rd St., Tinley Park, will be led by Katie Martin Peck, a city planner and registered landscape architect with two decades of award-winning experience at the international, national and local levels.

She will share practical and sustainable techniques that you can implement in a home landscape. Peck will offer an overview of how to approach a home landscape project effectively, and will discuss how to assess your landscape priorities, remove invasive species, incorporate native plants and manage stormwater within your yard.
