The Village of Homewood is proud to announce that its beloved Homewood Farmers Market is in the running for “Top Farmers Market in Illinois” as part of the 2025 America’s Farmers Market Celebration.
America’s Farmers Market Celebration is the only annual ranking of the nation’s farmers markets as voted on by the public. This recognition shines a spotlight on markets that bring fresh produce, locally made goods and community connections to residents each week.
Voting is open now through Tuesday, Sept. 30, and every vote counts. Community members and visitors alike are encouraged to cast their support for the Homewood Farmers Market by visiting the official contest website. Each person can vote once per email address.
“Homewood’s Farmers Market is more than a place to shop. It’s where neighbors gather, families enjoy live music and activities, and local farmers and artisans connect with the community,” said Market Coordinator Christine Banks. “We’re asking everyone who has enjoyed the market to help us earn this exciting title.”
The Village invites residents, market visitors and supporters near and far to take a moment to vote and help Homewood gain statewide recognition for its vibrant farmers market.
