Homewood-Flossmoor School District 233 Board of Education Planning Committee will meet from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, South District Conference Room, 999 Kedzie Ave. The agenda will be available here.

Tower Park Community Meeting. Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will host a community meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Goldberg Administration Center, 3301 Flossmoor Road to discuss the sale of Tower Park under the Homewood water tower on Pierce Avenue and Evergreen Road in Homewood to the village of Homewood. Village and park district representatives will be on hand to answer questions.

BP Bike Path Project Public Meeting. Country Club Hills will host an informal meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Country Club Hills Amphitheater, 4150 183rd St., to provide an opportunity to learn about the BP Bike Path Project and provide feedback. The proposed 2.15-mile multi-use trail would connect the Tinley Creek and Community Park trail systems, following the right-of-way of the existing BP pipeline. The trail is designed to improve mobility, boost safety and give residents more options for walking, biking and recreation.
