Flossmoor police are using video recordings to continue an investigation of an armed robbery that took place shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Tornado Gas Station at 3950 Vollmer Road.

Police said the alleged robber was wearing a ski mask, white shoes, black T-shirt and gray pants. He had a medium build.

He displayed a handgun and took the victim’s purse near the air pumps at the station. The victim was not injured.

The robber was seen running northbound towards the Meijer store at 3800 Vollmer Road. A police dog was unable to track the robber.

Police remind residents to be mindful of their surroundings and try to park in well-lit and well-populated areas.
