Did you know there’s a home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Kankakee?
Governors State University will present the documentary “An American Home: Frank Lloyd Wright’s B. Harley Bradley House,” a look at the famed house, at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 12.
The viewing is part of the celebration of the restoration and return to the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park of the work “Working on the Failed Utopia” on the campus of Governors State University near D Building’s main entrance.
The work by Christine Tarkowski incorporates elements of the geodesic dome structures in Imitatio dei, an installation work incorporating wood, concrete, glass and energy efficient lightbulbs.
The celebration includes music selected by a DJ, refreshments and a chance to watch the sunset at 8:25 p.m.
