Drama Group presents ‘Sylvia,’ a love triangle that includes a dog

A talking dog could steal your heart in the Drama Group’s production of “Sylvia.”

When Sylvia is adopted by Greg and Kate, it puts a strain on their marriage. Greg adores the dog, but Kate sees Syliva as a kind of intruder who gets Greg’s attention. This is a play about love, relationships and the ways in which we prioritize our affections.

“Sylvia” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7, and again on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 12, 13 and 14. Afternoon performance at 2 p.m. will be staged Saturday, June 14, and on Sundays, June 6 and 15.

The Drama Group has online ticketing at BookTix or tickets can be purchased through the box office at 708-755-3444. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors or members of the military, $19 for students with ID.

The Drama Group is a member of the Southland Arts with 26 local arts organizations. The Drama Group acknowledges support from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
