Park district asking for input on improvements at three parks

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District invites residents to offer their ideas on how to improve amenities at three parks at a community input meeting from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Goldberg Administration Center, 3301 Flossmoor Road in Flossmoor.

Park district staff is in the planning stages of updating the amenities at:

  • Scandia Park, a one-acre playground park at Hickory and Rockwell in Homewood.
  • Goldberg Park, 3301 Flossmoor Road in Flossmoor. The playground equipment there now looks like a castle. There also is a picnic area.
  • Pheasant Trails Park, a six-acre park with a playground, basketball hoop and tennis courts at Hanover Lane and Dixie Highway in Flossmoor.

For more information, call the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District office at 708-957-0300.
