Wacky Snack Attack. Ever wonder what teens from other countries snack on after school? Join in from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, for a trip around the world through snacks. For grades 7 thru 12. Register here.

Serena Hills Picnic & Fun Fair. From 5 to 7 p.m. the Serena Hills Leadership Club will host a family event at 255 Pleasant Drive, Chicago Heights. Bring a picnic dinner for you and your family for an evening full of games, activities and community fun.

Mental Health Summit. “What Should I Do in a Mental Health Crisis?” will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Cook County Circuit Court’s Markham Courthouse, 16501 Kedzie Ave. Topics will include mental health services, emergency hospital orders, power of attorney, guardianship, special needs trust, crisis intervention and firearm restraining orders. Panelists will offer information and address questions from participants. 

Small Business Workshop. Part two of the Small Business Workshop Series, Build Your Business From the Ground Up sponsored by Cook County 5th District Commissioner Kisha McCaskill will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gloria Taylor Hall, 14821 Broadway Ave. in Harvey. The workshop is for anyone who has a side hustle and wants to turn it into a thriving, well-organized business.
