H-F High School asks the community for feedback on communications

Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233 is inviting staff, families, and community members to share their input on the district’s communication efforts through the 2025 School Communication Performance Evaluation (SCoPE) Survey.

The anonymous online survey is open through Monday, April 28. It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey which can be found here.

Conducted by an independent research team from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), the survey is a valuable tool to assess how, when and on what topics stakeholders prefer to receive information from the district.

For the past three years, Homewood-Flossmoor has used SCoPE Survey results to guide its strategic communications plan. Feedback has led to meaningful improvements, including:

  • A redesigned website (hfhighschool.org) focused on usability and accessibility.
  • The launch of Board Notes, a summary update following each Board of Education meeting.
  • Enhanced use of the ParentSquare mass communication system, which allows users to customize how they receive updates.

“Your voice is critical in helping us improve how we connect with you,” said Carla Erdey, director of communications and community engagement. “We’re proud of the progress we’ve made based on past feedback, and we’re committed to continuing this work in partnership with our school community.”

All responses are completely confidential, and the district encourages participants to share open and honest feedback.
