The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is in the final stages of developing an updated comprehensive master plan and invites the community to attend a meeting on Wednesday, April 23, to share its findings.
Representatives from Upland Design, a landscape architecture and park planning firm working with the park district, will conduct the meeting at 6 p.m. at The Clubhouse at Dolphin Lake, 2700 183rd St., Homewood.
The consultants will present a summary of the planning process, highlights of community input and the preliminary master plan recommendations.
A park district comprehensive master plan is a document that guides decision-making and investments over a set period. It can cover a variety of topics, including parks, facilities, recreation programming, operations, and maintenance. The planning process helps a district understand and adapt to changing demographics and community needs. It creates a roadmap for our future.
