Cast members, support staff, musicians announced H-F’s ‘Between the Lines’ musical

The cast has been announced for the musical “Between the Lines” to be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 10, 11 and 12, by the Theatre Department at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. 

The “Between the Lines” story is based on the novel by the same name. It follows Delilah, an outsider at a new school, who finds comfort in her favorite book and a romance with a fictional prince as the lines between reality and fantasy blur.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. Ticket are sold online at https://rb.gy/lzovrq.

The lead characters will be Stella Hoyt as Delilah and Bryce Stewart as Prince Oliver. 

Joining the cast are Violet Bivens, Gina Bonanotte, Leo Daggett, Laila Dyer, Adelai Easter, Sawyer Horcher, Cooper Hoyt, Faith Jones, Elisha Kline, Kayla Manzera, Flannery Marak, Marcus McGhee, Gabe McKinney, AJ Miller, Kamryn Nelson, Tessa O’Keefe, Abigail O’Quin, Eleanor O’Shea, Benjamin Peden, Jordyn Richardson, Maddy Schneidewind, Satiya Viner, Luke Wagner, Robert Wakefield II.

The production crew are Nyla Bishop, Chloe Pease and Jamaya Lee as stage managers; Samantha Chalmers and Ash Komorowski as assistant stage managers; Aubrey Stewart on the sound board; Lily Sherman as light board operator; Deanna Williams, Leigha Lickert, Camryn Kelley, Shylah Mahone and Karinne Watkins are the costume/makeup crew; Joshua Simpson is on props; Noah Allen on flys; Jada Williams and Bella Shaklee on spotlights; Vivian Clark, Caleb Hughes, Annabelle Kyei-Dompim and Brooklyn Cosey are the run crew.

Members of the orchestra are Reagan Seye, Francesca McGathey and Briea Leviant on violin; Eric Nickerson, cello; Allison Hoover-Kinne, Luke DeBruin, Tyler Mikosz, Niah Tibbs-Turner, Hunter Nocentelli, woodwinds; Ahlier Velazquez, piano.

Vonda Hardesty, synthesizer; Anderson Pries, keyboard; David Hayes, bass; Nathaniel Appelt and Damare Dukes on drums; Jordan Washington and Sawyer Fogarty, percussion.

Pit Singers are Madison Holly, Megan Jones, Isabella Davies, Elhanan Jenkins, Wesley Schmidt, Brianah Williams, Camaria Lightsy, Cayla Tucker, Kanema Johnson, Brooklyn Thomas.

This production is directed by H-F teachers J.R. Williard-Rose and Deena Cassady; Gail Smith, producer/tech supervisor; Tim Tholl, technical director; Kyle Aiden, choreography, Steve Sifner, vocal director; Sarah Whitlock, conductor; Stephen Menard, scenic design; Jane Nix, scenic painter/tech supervisor; Jack Micetich, costume design; Sam Kearney, lighting design; Amie Day, properties design; Steve Blaski, sound design and engineering.  

The production will be part of the Illinois High School Musical Theatre Awards this spring sponsored by Broadway in Chicago. 

In the 2024 competition, H-F won Best Production Award for “Urinetown” directed by teacher Anne Calderon.
