Election Day. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Voters can find their polling place on the mailing from the Cook County Clerk’s office or by visiting the clerk’s website.

Learn about the qualifications and priorities of candidates for Homewood and Flossmoor village boards, Homewood and Flossmoor school district boards of education, H-F Park District board and Homewood and Flossmoor library boards. Homewood Vehicle Stickers. Vehicle stickers go on sale today. The village mailed applications to residents who have previously purchased a sticker. Stickers can be purchased online or through the village’s new mobile app “Home Sweet Homewood,” which is available on app stores. Stickers can also be purchased in person at village hall, 2020 Chestnut Road. Village officials urge residents to come with completed applications to make the process go more quickly. Stickers must be on vehicles by May 31.
Homewood-Flossmoor Park District Board of Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. in the Goldberg Administration Center, 3301 Flossmoor Road. The agenda will be posted here when available.
Earth Day Junk Art Contest. Can you make art out of anything? This is your chance to show how. Stop by the Flossmoor Public Library youth services desk, 1000 Sterling Ave., to pick up a junk art bag and then get to work. Pick up starts at 3 p.m. and continues through April 8. Turn in your artwork by April 21 to be included in the Junk Art Gallery. Voting begins April 22.
