Thornton Township candidate forum. The Lansing Journal, Harvey World Herald and H-F Chronicle will hold a candidate forum today. Questions for supervisor candidates will begin at 4 p.m. and trustee candidates will start at 5:30 p.m. Visit the Herald’s YouTube channel to watch the livestream.
Gardening Club. The club meets at 7 p.m. every fourth Thursday at Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway.
PMA 70th anniversary. The Homewood Parent Music Association will host an anniversary celebration and concert at 7 p.m. at James Hart School, 18220 Morgan St. in Homewood. There will be performances from current District 153 musicians, testimonials from Homewood parents and music program alumni, a celebration of 2025 PMA summer scholarship recipients, raffles and chocolate for sale.
