International Film Fest April 3, 4, 5 at GSU

Governors State University will host the Chicago Southland International Film Festival April 3, 4 and 5 featuring international shorts and local feature films.

The festival offers an array of unique, curious and engaging films followed by Q&A sessions with the filmmakers after select programs. Highlights of the festival include the feature film showcase, and an international short film competition.

The three-day event opens with a cocktail reception at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 3, followed by the first short film program from 6:15 to 8 p.m. The showing of the feature film “The Premiere” will be from 8:10 to 10 p.m.

Programming on Friday, April 4, opens with the second short film program from 6 to 7:50 p.m. followed by the feature film “Fire Department, Inc.” from 8 to 10 p.m. 

The festival concludes on Saturday, April 5. The third short film program will be from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by the fourth short film program from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. The program concludes with the VIP awards show and reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are available for individual events, as a three-program pack, or a festival pass that allows the holder into all events. There also is a virtual festival pass that allows for streaming of the programs.  Ticket information is at csiff.eventive.org.
