Spongebob Auditions. 23 Miles South Theatre will audition actors for The SpongeBob Musical from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 7. Roles are available for actors ages 7 to 18. All actors must be under age 19 by May 30. Auditions will be held in the lower level of Abundant Grace Church, 18200 Dixie Highway, Homewood. Enter through the west side, downstairs door. Performances will be held May 30 and 31.

Prince Charming Dance. The H-F Park District will host an event from 6 to 8 p.m. for moms, grandmothers and aunts to take their prince charmings aged 3 to 12 on a date at the H-F Sports Complex, 18211 S. Aberdeen Ave. There will be games, snacks and dancing. The fee is $34 for district residents, $44 for non-residents. Click here to register.

Saturday, March 8

Pancake Picnic. Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center, 20000 Western Ave., Olympia Fields, will host an opportunity from 9 to 10 a.m. to learn about the process of converting maple sap into syrup during a stroll through the forest followed by a pancake feast. Registration is required. The fee is $9 for district residents, $11 for non-residents.

Candidate Forum. The League of Women Voters of the Homewood-Flossmoor Area will host a forums for Flossmoor mayor and trustee candidates starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway. The forum for trustee candidates will follow the forum for mayor candidates. Voters will have an opportunity to submit questions during the forum.

Trail Mix Home Grown Concert. Trail Mix Concert Series will feature four local artists starting at 7 p.m. in Senior Hall at Izaak Walton Preserve, 1100 Ridge Road in Homewood. Performers will include Salus & Ploum, Ben Salus, Bugs Still Fly and Jess & Dave.

Roller Derby: Pirates vs. Sea Creatures. Chicago Knockouts Wreck League will host a roller derby bout between the Pirates and Sea Creatures. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., 2010 Chestnut Road in Homewood. Action begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 online, $20 to $25 at the door. Accessible seating available at no extra charge. Tickets available here.
