Flossmoor School District 161 will begin kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at each of the district’s elementary schools.
Schools include Flossmoor Hills, 3721 Beech St.; Heather Hill, 1439 Lawrence Crescent; Serena Hills, 255 Pleasant Drive; and Western Avenue, 940 Western Ave.
Families will also learn about KinderPrep, the district’s summer program designed to help incoming kindergarteners prepare for a successful start to the school year.
Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to be eligible for kindergarten. Families unsure of their child’s designated school should contact the district office at 708-647-7000 for assistance.
For those unable to attend the March 4 registration event, appointments can be scheduled directly with their child’s school to complete the registration process.
Parents and guardians must provide the following:
- Original birth certificate (with raised seal).
- Proof of residency within District 161.
- Guardianship/custody documentation (if applicable).
