Sweetheart Dance. The H-F Park District will host an event from 6 to 8 p.m. for dads, grandfathers, uncles and mentors to take their sweethearts ages 3 to 12 on a date at the H-F Sports Complex, 18211 S. Aberdeen Ave. There will be games, snacks and dancing. The fee is $34 for district residents, $44 for non-residents. Click here to register.

Jazz at PSC. The 36th annual Prairie State College Jazz Festival Concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights. World-class professionals and talented student musicians will perform. Tickets are $10, with group rates available, $5 for seniors and PSC students. Tickets are available at the door.

Find Your Calm. “Find Your Calm: A Nervous System Regulation Experience” will be led by Raya Horcher and Rachael Santos from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Serendipity Yoga and Wellness, 18300 Dixie Highway. Buy tickets here.

Twin Peaks Day. Put away your garmonbozia and join Rabid Brewing’s annual celebration of the quirky 1990s TV show. Character costumes, coffee stouts, cherry pie and themed drinks will all be at play. Starts at 8 p.m. at 17759 Bretz Drive in Homewood.

Saturday, Feb. 22

Homewood Indoor Market. Vendors will be open for business in the Homewood Auditorium, 2010 Chestnut Road, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Star Wars and More. Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert “Star Wars and More: A Celebration of John Williams” is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Trinity Christian College, 6601 W. College Dr. in Palos Heights. Guest performer is Matthew Lipman, violist. For ticket information, call 708-481-7774.

Catholic Charities Food Drive. Volunteers at St. John Neumann Parish, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood, will be collecting non-perishable food items from 9 to 11 a.m. in the parish parking lot. Food will be donated to the Catholic Charities distribution center serving the South Suburbs.

Friends Saturday Book Sale. Friends of Homewood Public Library will host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library, 17917 Dixie Highway.

Acoustic After Hours. The Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, will host live music, warm drinks and sweet treats from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Chicago based singer/songwriter Dana Gatziolis will perform a combination of cover songs and original work.

Sunday, Feb. 23

Meet, Pet & Paint Rico the Sloth. Bottle & Bottega, 2009 Ridge Road in Homewood, will have a sloth, Rico, visit the shop at 11 a.m. for a painting party. Rico is bringing a couple armadillo friends, too. Registration includes use of all necessary paint supplies and artist instruction plus an opportunity to get a photo with Rico. Buy tickets here.
