Petco Adoption Event. South Suburban Humane Society will host a pet adoption event at Petco, 17930 Halsted St. in Homewood, starting at noon.
International Candy Taste Test. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host a chance to test your skills at the International Candy Taste Test starting at 2:30 p.m. Contestants will be put into four groups of three contestants and given candy. Then they’ll get a chance to guess where the candy comes from. The team with the most correct guesses wins a prize! Registration is required and limited.
Celebrate Black History Month with Jewel-Osco. The store at 17705 S. Halsted St. in Homewood will host its 26th annual Black History Month Celebration starting at noon. Live music by drummer Rodney Harper. Prizes. Kids’ activities. No tickets are required.
Mythic Promenade. Rabid Brewing, 17759 Bretz Drive in Homewood, will host an adult prom starting at 8 p.m. Create the mythic prom experience you never knew you needed. Love Hangover Comedy Show. Join Thornridge High School Class of 1995 for a special Love Hangover Comedy Show from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Copper Still, 1961 Ridge Road in Homewood. Host will be Big Keith and the comedians are M’Reld Green and Shawn Morgan with Dj Tone. Cost is $50 per couple, $30 per single.
