Volunteers at St. John Neumann Church, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood, are sponsoring a food drive from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in the church parking lot.

The food collected will be delivered to the South Regional Office of Catholic Charities in Park Forest for distribution to needy families. The site serves about 150 families each week.

Staples, such as pasta and pasta sauces, soups, canned vegetables, cereals, rice, dried fruit, canned Vienna sausage or hams, rice sides, potato sides, coffee, condiments, such as ketchup and salad dressing, seasonings, snacks, canned olives, nuts and seeds.

Monetary donations also will be accepted by the volunteers.
