H-F’s New Faces presents ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’

Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s New Faces Theater Company will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20, 21 and 22, at the high school, 999 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor.

Tickets for the production are sold online at Go Fan. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $5 for students ages 6 years old through senior in high school.

This abridged version of Shakespeare’s classic tale will feature students who are new to theater. New Faces features freshmen, sophomores and upperclassmen who were on stage once or twice before. 

“These students have been working hard on mastering Shakespeare’s language and bringing (this play) to life on stage,” said theater teacher Anne Calderon who is directing the play and helping the actors prepare for the fun and excitement of fairies, magic, lovers’ quarrels and laughs.

Cast members are Natalia Alvarado, Theo Anderson, Nyla Bishop, Violet Bivens, Gina Bonanotte, Samanta Chalmers, Jazmin Coleman, Isabella Davies, Caleb Hughes, Terrin Joubert, Megan Jones, Kayla Manzera, Teagan Meeks, Charrann Moore, Abigail O’Quin, Sophia O’Quin, Molly Stapleton, James Tate III, Satiya Viner, Jada Williams and Adelyn Zawaski.

Technical crew members are Ash Komorowski, Aaron Greep, Ezra Raferty, Lily Sherman, Bella Shaklee, Leigha Lickert, Camyrn Kelley, Reagan Seye, Sabrina Murray, Ella Linde, Danydra Wheeler and Josh Simpson.  

Production assistants are Robert Wakefield II and Cristen Claxton. Student directors are Bryce Stewart and Flan Marak. Mentors are Leo Daggett, Kaylee Grage, Tessa O’Keefe, and Madison Schneidewind.
